One more time (a rememberance)

Okay well a while back Razz held a poetry contest and this is what I entered. It's not the best of my work but I didn't want to show anything else so here it is. Please comment and tell me what you think.

Trooper, I miss you…
You were one of my friends, my pack.
I believe that we were closer then some.
When I saw you sleep into death I felt anything but bliss.

I wish I could pet your soft fur once more, just once more
Despite that I’d feel those scattered bald spots from time to time.
I lust to hug you yet again. I want to be with my beagle boy.
I wish you were still alive for a second round with us.

One more time, just one more time!
I want to cuddle next to you after a terrifying nightmare.
I want to be able to hold the real you in my arms
And not the ashes of your remains.

I say it once more, I miss you Trooper.
As I write this salty transparent tears escape from my eyes yet again.
I’ll always remember the good times we had when you were alive.
Like when we were about to nap and we sneezed at the same time clunking our heads.
After that in a way it seemed like laughter filled the air.

We still love you Trooper.
All of us do and we shall forever remember you.
I wish I could see you in person just one more time.

Maybe after death we shall all meet up
Whether it’s in Heaven or Hell
I can’t wait to see you in person…just one more time.

I didn't win the poetry contest and I didn't expect to either because my poetry isn't that great. I came in third (last place) with this but oh well.
